Jakarta – PT Teladan Prima Agro Tbk (TLDN) has achieved a robust financial performance in the first half of the current year. The company reported a revenue realization of IDR 1.92 trillion in Semester I/2023, representing an 8.2% growth compared to the previous year’s IDR 1.77 trillion during the same period. This achievement was driven by increased sales volumes of crude palm oil (CPO) and palm kernel (PK).
During January–June 2023, TLDN’s revenue comprised IDR 1.79 trillion from CPO sales and IDR 127.72 billion from PK sales. These revenue figures were supported by a substantial increase in CPO sales volume, which grew by 41.5% year on year (yoy), and PK sales volume, which rose by 45.3% yoy. This translates to 159,657 tons of CPO and 27,829 tons of PK sold.
The significant growth in CPO and PK sales volume offset the decline in their average selling prices, which fell by 19.8% and 54.9% annually in Semester I/2023. Despite the downward trend in average selling prices, TLDN managed to maintain a positive financial performance.
“The increase in sales volume can be attributed to the rise in CPO production by 11.6% yoy and PK production by 9.4% yoy in Semester I/2023. This growth in CPO production is attributable to the increase in fresh fruit bunches (FFB) production in both nucleus and plasma plantations, as well as the improved palm oil extraction rate, which grew by 1.5% yoy to 22.77%,” said President Director of TLDN, Wishnu Wardhana.
In terms of other financial performance indicators, TLDN reported earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) of IDR 271.95 billion during January-June 2023, while the net profit realization reached IDR 63.40 billion in the same period.
On the operational side, TLDN’s FFB production in Semester I/2023 reached 544,457 tons, a 5.8% increase compared to the same period in the previous year of 514,690 tons. Additionally, CPO production in Semester I/2023 reached 144,682 tons, showing an increase of 14,988 tons from the prior year. Meanwhile, PK production in Semester I/2023 was recorded at 23,555 tons, marking a rise of 2,022 tons compared to Semester I/2022.
Furthermore, TLDN disclosed that its total assets until the end of June 2023 amounted to IDR 5.18 trillion, reflecting a 1.2% year-on-year growth compared to the same period in the previous year of IDR 5.12 trillion. Meanwhile, total equity increased by 0.2% yoy, reaching IDR 2.07 trillion. These figures indicate a healthy position on TLDN’s balance sheet.
