A comprehensive and structured program is needed to empower planters with a deep passion and love for nature, the environment, the universe, others, and his profession, while also persistent, big-hearted, humble, and resilient. An example of such a program is Planter Training Education (P3).
Planter Training Education is not just about the transfer of knowledge or skill testing, but it is also about strengthening Planter Competency and Planter Character Building. Planter Training Education is anchored by Planters’ vertical relationship to God Almighty and horizontal relationships to His creatures, Planters’ physical and mental wellbeing, and love of their country. The 10-day training held at TC Talisayan (September 18, 2017, to September 29, 2017) was devoted and opened to Planters who have just joined the company. We shared our common vision, mission, and work culture through this training program to 10 planters with at least 2 years of experience in national palm oil company.
The material provided within this training session is focused on strengthening Planters’ technical mastery and knowledge, and character building. Technical materials include afdeling management materials namely job management and human resource management, information regarding facilities and social services through orientation, observation, and problem-solving approaches.
For the provision of character-building materials, the company collaborated with the Koramil Team 0902-07/TLS Talisayan, Berau. Discipline, teamwork, tough physicality and mental, and love for the country are essential characteristics for forming robust planter character.
The Vice CEO, Head of Plantation Division, Group Head of Agronomy Region, and Head of Area to Estate Manager participated as trainers and provided the materials by sharing their own experiences to participants. This is a testament to the Company’s commitment to developing Planters who are tough and love their country. “In addition to aligning our vision and mission as well as work culture, the hope is that the participants will also become planters who hopefully become Patriot Cadre of the Nation,” remarked Vice CEO, Iwa Kartiwa Hudaya.
