Six TPA Mills Achieve PROPER 2023: Four Green Ratings and Two Blue Ratings

SAMARINDA – Six mills under the auspices of PT Teladan Prima Agro Tbk (TPA) have successfully received the PROPER (Performance Rating Program for Company Environmental Management) 2023 award from the Governor of East Kalimantan. The award includes four green ratings and two blue ratings.

The four TPA mills that received the Green PROPER award are PT Telen – Pangadan Baay Mill, PT Telen – Bukit Permata Mill, PT Telen Prima Sawit – Muara Bengkal Mill, and PT Cahaya Anugerah Plantation – Mill. The Governor of East Kalimantan, Dr. Ir. H. Isran Noor, M.Si, presented the Green PROPER award at the Ballroom Hotel Mercure, Samarinda, on Thursday (15/6/2023).

The Governor of East Kalimantan, Isran Noor, stated that there are 265 companies that have received the PROPER assessment in 2023, spanning various sectors including the service industry, palm oil, mining, and forestry. He congratulated the recipients of the PROPER award and stated that it serves as a reference and guide for improvement.

The Green PROPER award is given to companies that have exceeded the required environmental management regulations by implementing efficient environmental management systems and demonstrating good social responsibility.

At the same event, PT Tanjung Buyu Perkasa Plantation – Talisayan Mill and PT Multi Jayantara Abadi – Tanjung Harapan Mill also received the Blue PROPER. The Blue PROPER signifies that the companies have complied with the prescribed environmental management requirements according to the applicable regulations.

This achievement encourages TPA to continuously improve its environmentally conscious operations to achieve the goals of sustainable development (SDGs) and create a better life for the current and future generations.
