Jakarta: PT Multi Jayantara Abadi (MJA), a subsidiary of PT Teladan Prima Agro (TPA), has officially received the Indonesian Sustainable Palm Oil (ISPO) certificate from the TUV Rheinland— a certification body. The certification obtained by MJA is an integral part of TPA’s continuous efforts to fulfill and comply with Government Regulations pertaining to Regulation of Minister of Agriculture (Peraturan Menteri Pertanian or Permentan) No. 38/2020 regarding the certification of Indonesian sustainable oil palm plantations.
The official handover of the ISPO certification was held on Monday, 20 December 2021, at PT Teladan Prima Agro’s Head Office in Jakarta. Mr. Nyoman Susila as President Director of TUV Rheinland awarded the certificate to Mr. Yayan H. Ginanjar as Director of Sustainability of TPA. Mr. Imam Syaifullah as Director of Logistics & Engineering, Mr. Mahiruddin Achmad as Director of Finance, Accounting, & Tax, and Mr. Sutarto Hadi as Head of Human Resources Division also were present and attended the ceremony.
This certification was given to TPA after a series of audit processes. The 1st audit was conducted between 5-8 April 2021, which focused on assessing the completeness and correctness of legal documents, as well as assessing selected stakeholders as sources. Then, the 2nd audit was held between 4-7 October 2021, which was a comprehensive assessment of documents, application of ISPO principles and criteria, the competence of plantation and palm oil mill officers, to confirmation of the application of ISPO principles and criteria with stakeholders.
MJA manages the Tanjung Harapan Estate and the Tanjung Harapan Mill, and conducts its operations in Segendang Village, Batu Engau District; Senipah Village, Random Village, Keladen Village, Tanjung Harapan District, Paser Regency, East Kalimantan Province.
