BALIKPAPAN – All palm oil mills owned by the subsidiaries of PT Teladan Prima Agro Tbk (TLDN) have received the Zero Accident Award 2023, organized by the East Kalimantan Provincial Government. The award was presented directly by the Deputy Governor of East Kalimantan, Mr. Hadi Mulyadi, to the management of TLDN on the evening of the National Occupational Safety and Health (K3) Month celebration in East Kalimantan on Saturday, June 10, 2023.
The mentioned palm oil mills are operated by 5 subsidiaries of TLDN, namely;
- PT Tanjung Buyu Perkasa Plantation – Talisayan Mill
- PT Telen – Pangadan Baay Mill and Bukit Permata Mill
- PT Telen Prima Sawit – Muara Bengkal Mill
- PT Cahaya Anugerah Plantation – Feliza Mill
- PT Multi Jayantara Abadi – Tanjung Harapan Mill
TLDN recognizes that employees are the company’s assets, and the company always prioritizes the safety and health of its workers in carrying out its business. This is an implementation of TLDN’s two values. First, integrity: TLDN fulfils its responsibility towards the safety and health of workers through various policies to ensure occupational safety and health.
Second, humanism: TLDN is concerned with its workers supporting a safe, comfortable, and conducive working environment. In addition to providing personal protective equipment, health clinics, and healthcare professionals, TLDN also provides health facilities, safe working locations, and housing facilities for workers. The aim is for the culture of occupational safety and health (K3) to be ingrained in all workers because K3 is a necessity, not an obligation.
On the other hand, the Governor of East Kalimantan, Mr. Isran Noor, who attended the event virtually, emphasized that the East Kalimantan Provincial Government hopes that through the National Occupational Safety and Health (K3) Month in 2023, it can achieve an improvement in the self-reliance of the K3 culture across all levels of society.
For information, the Zero Accident Award is a recognition of occupational safety and health (K3) given by the provincial government to company management that has successfully implemented security and health aspects of work, thus achieving zero accidents.
